Skylight Trust board renewal

Skylight Trust - which enables children, young people and their families navigate through times of trauma, loss and grief - has announced changes to its board of trustees with effect from 28 October 2015.

Mark Cassidy and Gerard Vaughan have stepped down from the board at the end of their terms. They are replaced by David Clarke, Bernie Grant and James McCulloch.

"Mark and Gerard have served Skylight very well", said chairman Jim Donovan, "and we will miss their wisdom and experience. At the same time, I am delighted we have been able to attract a diverse group of talented new trustees to carry on their good work".

David Clarke is a senior partner with law firm Russell McVeagh and has been actively involved in the governance of several community organisations.

Bernie Grant, a former Army officer and now a civilian manager with the NZ Defence Force, has considerable experience assisting military families and she brings a Maori perspective to the board.

James McCulloch is director of leadership development with education & learning firm Inspire Group and has led significant charitable enterprises.

Jim Donovan, Carolina Gardiner, Lyn McMorran and Prashanta Mukherjee remain as trustees.
